It’s an important aspect of Ashianae’s Journey, if you so choose. Players are encouraged and given the opportunity to interact in many forms of society, be it through owning their own merchant business, participating in faction building (your traditional “guild”), running city politics, and everything in between. A vast majority of in game politics and religion are run and managed by players in order to allow our users the ability to truly become immersed in the society of Ashianae.
City Politics & Religion
While role-playing is encouraged within Ashianae’s Journey, it is not mandatory. In order to provide those interested in heavy role-play with an outlet for their cravings, two areas of community and the game are built heavily upon it. City Politics & Religion is where those who role-play are able to dominate, in an arena where stat points, health and mana play little part in ones success.
Two cities exist in the game of Ashianae’s Journey: Dekarne, the city occupying the surface of the island and Karnaires, the cavern city below ground. Both cities are fiercely different yet oddly co-dependent upon one another for resources. Players are given the opportunity to take part in the various levels of government that control the operation of both cities.
The various religions within the game play a significant part in the community atmosphere of the two societies as well. Three religions are followed on the island in our story, each of which allows players to take active roles within the faith.
Factions
Players are given the option to begin their own Factions, which represent what many would call a Guild. In many ways Factions are used primarily as a means to organize PvP battle in city arenas, but a Factions purpose can be anything from religion, to adventuring, to PvP, etc. Each faction is provided with a forum for its members once it hits a certain level of membership. It is also possible for Factions to own their own homes to facilitate meetings and the storage of loot.
